My Teaching Context

I’m Luke Cunningham I am a technician at CSM for the performance program. I have been at the university for about 15 years now. Supporting students from BA and MA PDP and Drama centre London in their performances in one of our 4 venues. I specialise in lighting but also have a huge knowledge in Set construction, sound, stage management, and AV. The Drama centre students put on 5 big shows in the year where I would support the show. Building the sets setting up lighting working closely with the professionals’ designers. The first year acting students would normally crew the shows each student would have a role for the show lighting, sound, stage management, stage crew, so I must show them what they need do for each role. For the PDP student I do the same but also support them with their designs and any technical problems that they have when creating their performance. I also design the lighting rigs for most of the shows that we do with the students working close with them all to fulfil their requirements.
